Splash Pages 101

Posted in Internet Marketing on September 14th, 2009 by solidit

I came across a really simple way to create a free Splash Page. This online tool is simple to use and you don’t even have to worry about hosting. Just create the page and use the link anywhere and everywhere you want!

I have created a demonstration video showing how to use it. My example splash page is to promote Pyrabang but obviously you can create your own to use with any program.

This is all completely free! You can create up to 3 splash pages.

Check out the ‘How To’ video HERE

You can also see another example of a splash page I made using this tool, to promote Pyrabang HERE

I also demonstrate how to put ‘Pyrawords’ in your Splash Page. These are Pyrabangs answer to Google Adwords. The difference is you can actually earn money using them!
This is an example of what Pyrawords can look like (but they are totally customizable)

Great Online Image Editor

I was looking for an online image editor to resize a few photos earlier and came across this.

This is a fully featured free online image editor. It pretty much looks and acts exactly like Adobe Photoshop.

The bonus is that it will cost you nothing AND there is nothing to download or install.

And it opens instantly! This rocks!

Here is a screenshot I took from my laptop (and edited with this great free image editor!)

Retro Gaming! – Pacman

Feel like a bit of Classic 80’s gaming?
Enjoy this trip back in time. I was bad at Pacman in the 80’s but I think I am worse now!
(I have noticed that after you play one game sometimes the “Play Game” link doesn’t always appear again. Just refresh the page if this happens to you.)

Pyrabang – Become the Media

To view video, either turn off your Java Script blocker or update your Adobe Flash.

I have been a gold member of Pyrabang for a few months now and I can honestly say it is the best program I have found! (So far)

For FREE, you can enroll in Pyrabang and even make money as a free member. This is a good way to test out the system but if you want to do well you will need to go GOLD

Pyrabang is actually rather simple yet unique. ‘Bangs’ work sort of like ‘credits’ that you may be familiar with in a traffic exchange. Posts are placed in an ‘Adwords/Adsense’ fashion. Members can view other members ads PLUS the entire internet can view members ads. Members will also add value by rating and INVESTING in posts.

Posts can be anything. News, YouTube Videos, Interesting websites or even advertising. (You can post your affilliate links to other programs!)

TRIAL MEMBERS earn $3 for each member they sponsor. Of course, the free membership is not where it’s at. But it allows people to enroll, get a snippet of advertising for free, and earn some snippet of money, plus see how it all works.

GOLD MEMBERSHIP is only $5.95 per month but you will earn $12.00 Bonus for every gold member you sponsor. Gold members also are paid .95 cents in monthly residuals on all members they sponsor. In addition, Gold members are paid monthly residuals of .45 cents on all other members in their ten level organization. At first this may not appear to be much money, but the earning potential is huge.

And don’t forget you will also be profiting from your posts on the Pyrabang network!

Watch the video above and then make sure you checkout the website

Commodore SX-64

Commodore SX-64 - Classic computer from the 1980's

Commodore SX-64 - Classic computer from the 1980's

I just sold a classic Commodore SX-64 computer on TradeMe. This is the portable version of the classic Commodore 64 dating back to the early 80’s. It had not been used for a few years but when I set it up on the table to photograph my 10 year old son started playing on it. He sat there playing an old text adventure for over an hour. I was amazed he liked it considering he has a PC, Xbox 360, Playstation 3 & a PSP at his disposal! Took me back to my early computing days. He did get a bit confused when he realised there was no mouse though!
It went for $150.00 on Trademe. I was expecting a bit more to be honest, but it has gone to a collector who I am sure will look after it.
Here is a picture of the classic 80’s computer setup.
